street (pier) photography III

I did some more street, from-the-hip style photography tonight at the pier. After a stressful day, it relaxes me to walk up and down the pier over and over, pointing and shooting without composing. I’m still learning to compose without looking through the viewfinder; I struggle with it. For those who are interested in seeing a possible edit of the best photos from my pier story, you can click here and go to ‘San Clemente Pier’ under the¬†drop-down¬†portfolio tab along the top.

I only have a two weeks left in San Clemente, and I’m going to miss southern California, and all of the people I’ve met here.

Lucky enough to meet an incredibly nice woman who I’ll be following through the remaining two (maybe three?) bike races that I’ll be in California for. More to come.

Not as pleased with tonight’s street-style work, but practice makes…better?

I spent tonight walking from the beginning to the end of the pier over and over, trying street photography for the first time. Here’s what I got.

Spent the Fourth with my family. It was nice to be home for a few days, surrounded by nieces and nephews that never run out of energy.
